Work Conditions: In-office
Must be local to the Phoenix Metropolitan Area. Position is based in-office setting at ESI’s Kierland (Scottsdale, AZ) headquarters with no exposure to adverse environmental conditions. ESI is a non-smoking environment.
Local or regional travel may be occasionally required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Handles high volume of incoming phone calls and emails utilizing electronic ticketing system
- Responds to and provides a high level of service regarding inquiries related to employee pay and taxes, verification of employment, unemployment, garnishment, and benefits
- Answers routine email correspondence with completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and quality
- Expedites resolution for payroll discrepancies between ESI, the employee, and/or the client
- Transmits daily receivables bank deposit via remote-deposit or physical deposit at bank location, if needed
- Processes multiple payroll instruments into payroll system to completion on a weekly basis
- Ensures payroll/garnishment checks and coordinating paperwork are ready each payroll
- Assists with research tasks, internal and external audits, and other intercompany projects and needs
- Acts as back up administrative support across organization as needed
- Works collaboratively across departments and supports the team environment to meet individual, team, and organization objectives
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or GED
EXPERIENCE/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (preferred experience with pivot tables and vlookups)
- One to three years heavy computer-based clerical experience in finance or payroll
- Must have reliable transportation for daily office commute
- Must pass a background check
- Dress code is casual

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to learn and use multiple software systems
- Ability to operate a variety of standard office equipment (e.g., computer, telephone, copy machine, and other related office equipment)
- Ability to build sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive communication
- Aptitude to learn job-related material primarily through oral instruction and observation in an on-the-job training setting
- Composure to work under pressure to meet deadlines and ability to handle problems and tasks that come up simultaneously or unexpectedly
