SUMMARY

Educational Services (ESI) is looking for an experienced HR professional to join our team as a Human Resource Coordinator! This position works directly with our Human Resource Officer supporting ESI's employees throughout Arizona. The Human Resource Coordinator primarily provides strong employee relation support, processes Workers Comp claims, FMLA, LOA, and ADA requests, as well as supports our employee base of educators and public service employees across Arizona. This important position supports all aspects of ESI's HR services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Provides high volume of strong employee relations support through coaching, discipline, documentation, and follow up.
  • Handles worker’s compensation claims through documentation and investigation; files claim with appropriate insurance carrier; handles communications as needed with schedules follow up calls to employees.
  • Processes all requests for FMLA, LOAs and ADA requests, documenting and following up with all applicable parties as appropriate.
  • Monitors Arizona Board of Education monthly Consent Agenda, Arizona Department of Education (ADE) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) for document status changes.
  • Creates positive connections for corporate staff.
  • Coordinates corporate wellness initiatives.
  • Prepares correspondence as requested.
  • Provides general support for Human Resource Officer.
  • Assists in ad-hoc HR projects.
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • May occasionally be required to work outside of normal business hours

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience
  • At least two years related experience required
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Visual acuity is required for preparing and analyzing written or computer data, operation of technology, and determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work
 
OTHER IMPORTANT DETAILS:
  • Initial training will take place in-person at our headquarters in North Scottsdale, AZ (Kierland area).
  • Our dress code is casual, while still maintaining a level of professionalism.
  • Non-smoking environment.
  • This position is eligible for remote work, but you must be local to the Phoenix Metropolitan Area.
